Even with broadband connection, sometimes the speed just isn’t cutting it enough. If you’re a Firefox user though, there may be a way for you to make your internet connection just a tad bit faster.
Materials Needed
- Computer
- Internet connection
- Mozilla Firefox browser
Step by Step Procedure
Step 1
Launch Firefox. In the address bar, type “about:config” Hit Enter.
Step 2
Scroll along the options that will be presented and look for the following entries:
network.http.pipelining
network.http.proxy.pipelining
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
Step 3
Double-click on the three lines and set them as follows:
Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true”.
Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true”.
Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to 30 or less.
Step 4
Right-click on the screen and choose New, then Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set the value to 0. Hit OK.
Now exit to the desktop and then hit Refresh. Launch a Firefox browser and you should notice a significant increase in your speed and browsing.
